XOL Cacao Nibs are 100% cacao, lightly roasted and prepared in fresh weekly batches for a deep cacao flavor, natural bitterness, and satisfying crunch. Each bag contains 1 lb (454 g) of pure cacao nibs with no added sugar, sweeteners, oils, dairy, or fillers.
Our cacao comes from Esmeraldas, Ecuador through a cooperative working with smallholder farms. After fermentation and drying at origin, we lightly roast the beans in Tampa, then crack and winnow them to separate the cacao nibs from the outer husk.
Cacao nibs are small pieces of the cacao bean before grinding. Their crunchy texture and naturally intense cacao flavor make them easy to eat straight from the bag or add to smoothies, yogurt, oatmeal, granola, trail mix, baked goods, desserts, homemade chocolate, and other recipes.
